EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SEKHMET AMULET - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience amulet of Sekhmet seated on a cubic throne with a straight back and openwork side panels. The leonine head has rounded ears and recessed eyes. The torso is upright with the left hand held to the chest and the right laid across the lap. The feet are set on an integral base.
