AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE DECCANI BRONZE ZOOMORPHIC EWER - Ca. late 16th - early 17th century AD. A bronze ewer with a tall flaring neck and everted lip rising from an openwork body formed as a broad interlaced knot. An S-curved spout terminates in a zoomorphic head opposite a high arched handle. Twin bird finials perch at the neck junction above the knot. The vessel stands on a high trumpet foot. Size: 380mm x 210mm; Weight: 2.6kg Provenance: Private UK Collection.
