OTTOMAN MUSHAF MUHAFAZA - Probably Istanbul Ca. late 19th - early 20th century AD. A manuscript cover formed as a rectangular case with a semi-cylindrical spine. The front is decorated with four lanceolate leaves within plain borders, the ground chased with dense scrollwork with traces of polychrome paste, and a rosette boss at each corner.
