MUGHAL MINIATURE WITH PALACE SCENE - Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. A watercolour miniature on paper depicting a courtly terrace scene with a noblewoman beneath a patterned parasol, set within an oval reserve. A palace façade with cusped arch opens onto a paved terrace, with hills and blue cloud bands beyond. The lady in saffron and yellow with pearl strands is attended by three maidservants, the scene framed by a red field with wide margins. Mounted within a later cream mount and a wooden frame.Size: 345mm x 295mm; Weight: 510g
