SELJUK GOLD AND GEM-SET PENDANT WITH HIGH-RELIEF HARPIES - Ca. 11th - 13th century AD. A rectangular box-form pendant with a castellated bead border and pairs of lugs along the other three edges. The obverse is arranged in three rows with cabochons including turquoise, rock crystal and amethyst, together with two inscribed green and red stones, all in rope and granule mounts divided by openwork rosette bosses.
