TALISMANIC SHIRT WITH SANCTUARY VIEWS OF MECCA AND MEDINA - Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. A cream-ground talismanic shirt of kaftan form, painted in blue, black and red inks within yellow outlines. The front is arranged with textual panels and star-medallions, above the Ka?ba in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque at Medina.
