SASANIAN INSCRIBED BLUE INTAGLIO IN SILVER RING - Ca. 2nd - 6th century AD. A cobalt blue oval intaglio engraved with a line of script, set in a silver ring with a plain raised collet within a narrow twisted fillet. The bezel plate is laid out with alternating triangular fields of stippling and applied domed studs.
