QAJAR WOODEN SHELL KASHKUL (BEGGAR'S BOWL) - Ca. 19th century AD. A wooden shell kashkul (beggar’s bowl) of boat-shaped form with an oval mouth and slightly upturned terminals, fitted with iron rings and a suspension chain. The exterior is inlaid with camel bone forming a cursive inscription flanked by small birds and stylised foliage, set between borders of triangles, with radiating rosettes at each end.Size: 100mm x 240mm; Weight: 555gProvenance: Private UK Collection.
