BUKHARA BLUE GLAZE DISH WITH FISH AND DAGGER - Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. An earthenware dish with a broad everted rim, shallow cavetto and low ring foot. The well is painted in turquoise and cobalt on white with a dense dotted ground enclosing a stylised fish and a dagger amid small rosettes. The cavetto bears a bold band, and the rim alternates triangles with palmettes. The reverse is covered in turquoise glaze and incised with a crossed-lattice pattern, the foot left unglazed.Size: 80mm x 380mm; Weight: 2.4kgProvenance: Private UK Collection.
