NISHAPUR SGRAFFITO GLAZED EARTHENWARE BOWL - Ca. 10th - 11th century AD. An earthenware bowl on a short foot, with flaring walls and an everted rim, glazed inside and out. The interior sgraffito decoration under a transparent glaze comprises a central quatrefoil with scrolling tendrils in green and brown in the quadrants; the cavetto with a stippled field punctuated by rectangular green reserves, the rim finished with a band of short brown strokes.Size: 95mm x 180mm; Weight: 560g
