A rare bronze mount, cast in high relief, depicts a dynamic dragon head with bold, stylised features and a squared snout, the surface richly decorated with scales. The dragon’s fierce visage epitomises the artistic sophistication and symbolic power of bronze craftsmanship during the Warring States period. The rectangular body is intricately ornamented, illustrating the technical mastery of early Chinese metalworkers in achieving both structural precision and mythic abstraction. Such mounts were often employed as fittings on chariots or instrument stands, embodying both decorative and protective functions.
