The long cylindrical form features a small perpendicular fitting, likely for securing the piece to a blade or scabbard. The dynamic depiction of sinuous dragons - symbols of imperial authority, power, and good fortune - reflects the sophisticated decorative metalwork of the Qing court and its associated workshops.
