CHINESE YELLOW-GROUND PORCELAIN VASE WITH UNDERGLAZE BLUE LOTUS - Republican Period, Ca. early - mid 20th century AD. A porcelain vase of slender neck and globular body form, distinguished by its vibrant yellow enamel ground, finely painted in underglaze blue with scrolling lotus and leafy tendrils, with blossoms delicately outlined in red. The long cylindrical neck rises gracefully from a rounded shoulder, encircled by stylised upright lappets and a band of blue below the rim, lending balance and rhythm to the composition.
