TIBETAN BRONZE SARASVATI - Ca. 19th century AD. A finely cast Tibetan bronze figure of Sarasvati, the goddess of wisdom, music, and eloquence, depicted seated upon a double-lotus pedestal. She holds a veena across her lap, her serene face framed by a tall crown and elaborate earrings. The figure is richly decorated with beaded jewellery, and dressed in a finely chased dhoti with floral and foliate motifs.Size: 340mm x 255mm; Weight: 4.32kgProvenance: Private UK Collection.
