INDIAN BRONZE GANESHA - Ca. 14th-15th century AD. A finely cast Indian bronze figure of Ganesha, the beloved elephant-headed god. The deity is depicted seated in a relaxed yet dignified posture on a high double-lotus and square plinth base with a finely incised cross-hatched pattern. His four arms hold his characteristic attributes - the goad (ankusha), a broken tusk, and a sweet (modaka) - while one hand is raised in blessing (abhaya mudra). He wears an elaborate conical crown, layered jewellery, and a sacred thread across his torso, reflecting the rich South Indian bronze-casting tradition.
