INDIAN BRONZE HANUMAN - Ca. 17th-18th century AD. A cast bronze figure of Hanuman, the devoted monkey-god and loyal servant of Rama, shown in a dynamic kneeling pose on a rectangular base. He holds the gada (mace) in his right hand and the mountain bearing the life-restoring herb in his left, recalling the famous Ramayana episode.
