INDIAN BRONZE VISHNU - Ca. 19th century AD. A finely cast bronze figure of Vishnu, the Hindu preserver of the universe, standing upon a double-lotus pedestal over a square base. The deity is depicted with four arms holding his traditional attributes - the chakra (discus) and shankha (conch) - while the lower right hand is raised in abhaya mudra and the lower left in varada mudra, offering protection and blessings. He wears a tall kirita-mukuta, multiple necklaces. Size: 220mm x 80mm; Weight: 1.1kgProvenance: Private UK Collection.
