A finely cast and richly gilt bronze figure of Shakyamuni Buddha, depicted seated upon a double-lotus pedestal, his right hand extended and his left resting in his lap holding a bowl. The Buddha wears a finely incised monastic robe draped over the left shoulder, the folds elaborately chased with scrolling lotus and floral motifs.
