GREEK HIGH KARAT GOLD MESOMPHALOS MEDALLION - Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A gold medallion with a flat, circular body and a narrow suspension loop at the top. The surface is decorated in repouss? with a central raised dome surrounded by a ring of small punched dots. The outer field is filled with evenly spaced hemispherical bosses arranged in a loosely radial pattern.
