PAIR OF HIGH KARAT GOLD HELLENISTIC BOAT-SHAPED EARRINGS - Ca. 400 - 200 BC. A pair of gold earrings, each formed as a hollow, boat-shaped body with pointed terminals and a rounded underside. The upper edge is fitted with a curved wire hoop that closes into a catch on one end. A prominent domed stud with a small granule is affixed to the opposite side.
