PAIR OF HELLENISTIC HIGH KARAT GOLD EARRINGS WITH GARNET CABOCHONS AND PEARLS - Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A pair of gold earrings formed as a hollow boat shape, each set with a garnet cabochon in a raised bezel bordered with fine granulation. The lower edges are fitted with rows of three suspension loops, each supporting a small gold chain terminating in an irregular pearl bead. For similar see: F.H.
