GNATHIAN BLACK GLAZE EPICHYSIS - Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A black glaze squat epichysis with a cylindrical lower body and a domed shoulder decorated with a rosette surrounded by vertical strokes and radiating petals in added white, red and yellow. A band of ovolo encircles the midsection, and the tall spout ends in a rounded lip with twin projections at the base. A tall, arching handle connects the shoulder with the spout.
