DAUNIAN POTTERY DISH - Ca. 550 - 400 BC. A shallow pottery dish with a broad, open form on a low ring foot. The interior is decorated concentrically with alternating red and buff bands, outlined by black lines. The central area is plain and slightly recessed, and two suspension holes are pierced near the rim. Size: 230mm x 40mm; Weight: 610g Provenance: Property of a central London gallery, previously acquired on the Dutch art market; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; Hugo Lievens, Brussels 1982.
