CELTIC BRONZE HORSE BIT - Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A bronze horse bit including two cheekpieces, each featuring a vertical bar with a round cross-section and three circular rein rings arranged along its outer edge, with the largest ring positioned in the centre. The bar ends with pointed cap finials at both ends. The cheekpieces are linked by a snaffle bit, which has circular joints that allow for movement. The lot also contains an additional horse bit of a similar design.
