EGYPTIAN STONE AND FAIENCE BEAD NECKLACE - EX CHRISTIE'S - New Kingdom to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 1550 - 30 BCA stone and faience bead necklace composed of a central sequence of amuletic pendants, including carnelian frogs, flies, hearts and a turtle, amethyst frogs, hearts, turtles and a small pendant, rock crystal and amethyst turtles, a blue glass frog, green stone frogs and triple elements, and a green jasper heart, all threaded on a strand with blue faience tubular beads in the upper section. The amulets are spaced with modern faceted gold elements and small red discs, the faience tubes separated by blue disc spacers, with a modern gold ankh-shaped hook-and-loop closure.
