EGYPTIAN ROCK CRYSTAL SCARAB - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BCA rock crystal scarab with a high domed back and neatly modelled clypeus and head flanked by ribbed side plates. The convex elytra are engraved with closely spaced longitudinal striations. The underside has segmented legs and a central bar pierced for mounting.Size: 38mm x 30mm; Weight: 19.6g.Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Belgium; formerly in a German private collection before 2000.This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
