RARE HELLENISTIC HIGH KARAT GOLD LION HEAD TERMINALS - Ca. 300 - 1 A pair of gold terminals, each with a hollow cylindrical socket surmounted by a lion's head in slightly curved profile and open jaws showing bared teeth, the muzzle with prominent whisker pads and bulging eyes rendered as domed bosses beneath arched brows. A narrow moulded collar encircles the neck above a tapering faceted section, and the back is decorated with a raised panel of vertical ribs. Size: 18-18mm x 12-12mm; Weight: 14g.
