HELLENISTIC HIGH KARAT GOLD COILED BRACELET - Ca. 325 - 285 BC A gold bracelet formed from a single round-section rod that bifurcates into two strands twisted around one another along most of the hoop before returning to a single wire at each side. One terminal ends in a loop, the other in a simple hook, forming the fastening. Size: 55mm x 55mm; Weight: 6.1g. Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was documented and authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery. A significant number of objects from this collection were published in a professional catalogue, a copy of which is available upon request.
