AD 1 - 300 A gold finger ring with a broad, rounded hoop rising to an oval bezel inset with a slightly convex banded agate intaglio engraved with a leaping capricorn beneath a small crescent. The collection was documented and authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery.
