ROMAN GOLD NECKLACE WITH MEDALLION OF STANDING DEITIES - Ca. AD 100 - 300A gold necklace composed of a fine chain of small eight-shaped links, centred by a circular medallion in thin gold sheet with a raised outer border and a central scene showing a triad of standing deities. Opposite the medallion, a small circular loop surmounted by a faceted garnet is integrated into the chain.Size: 225/450mm x 25mm; Weight: 14g.Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was documented and authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery.
