CRUSADERS HIGH KARAT GOLD RING - Ca. AD 1100 - 1300 A gold ring with a broad circular seal bezel engraved with four rounded cartouches, each filled with angular linear motifs, around a central lozenge framed by small triangles. A flat-section hoop with incised chevrons joins the bezel plate beneath squared, fluted shoulders, and the underside of the bezel is engraved with a lozenge enclosing an eight-pointed star. Size: D:15.7mm / US: 5 / UK: J 1/2; Weight: 4.4g. Provenance: Private London collection; previously part of a distinguished New York private collection, assembled between 1975 and 1995. The collection was documented and authenticated in the early 1990s by Dr. Jack Ogden and Barbara Deppert Lippitz, leading specialists in ancient jewellery. A significant number of objects from this collection were published in a professional catalogue, a copy of which is available upon request.
