AD 1 - 200 A gold ring with a flat band widening at the shoulders supporting an oval box bezel flanked above and below by applied clusters of fine granules. The bezel encloses a red carnelian intaglio engraved with the bust of Homer in profile to the left, with a bald crown, long flowing beard and draped shoulders.
