STUNNING ARCHITECTURAL ROMAN OPENWORK HIGH KARAT GOLD RING WITH RED GARNET CABOCHON - Ca. AD 250 - 300 A gold ring of stirrup form with a rectangular bezel formed as a shallow box setting containing a flat-topped garnet inlay. The bezel is supported on elongated shoulders forming a high gallery beneath the stone, with paired openwork motifs on both sides.
