AD 200 - 300 A gold ring with a hoop formed of a continuous sequence of rounded beads, joined at the shoulders by larger globular terminals to a broad oval bezel plate edged with a fine beaded border and housing a carnelian intaglio engraved with a complex gryllos composed of a horse?s forepart, a Silenus mask and a ram?s head, with a small Cupid and a dolphin behind.
