EGYPTIAN GRANITE HEAD AND TORSO OF HATSHEPSUT - New Kingdom, Ca. 1478 - 1458 BCA granite head and upper torso of Hatshepsut, carved with a rounded face framed by a striated tripartite wig with broad lappets falling to either side of the chest. The ears are worked in shallow relief against the wig, and the striations continue over the crown and down the rear. The upper chest with rounded breasts.
