ROMANO-EGYPTIAN WOODEN FUNERARY PORTRAIT OF NOBLEWOMAN - Ca. AD 100 - 300 A wooden funerary portrait panel painted with the frontal bust of a noblewoman, with large eyes and arched brows, the hair arranged beneath a wreath of leaves in applied gold leaf. She is shown wearing gold earrings and a pendant necklace, and a dark mantle with a narrow coloured band at the neckline. With surface repairs and restoration. Size: 635mm x 295mm; Weight: 1kg.
