EGYPTIAN PAINTED WOOD USHABTI CASE WITH PAPYRUS FLOWERS - New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A rectangular wooden ushabti case constructed from fitted planks with a flat top and base. The front is painted with alternating vertical stripes in black and white pigment framed by solid red bands. The lateral sides are decorated with stylised lotus flowers rendered in red outline on a white ground. For similar see: P. Giovetti, D.
