EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI WITH BLACK DETAILS - Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC A faience ushabti with a black-painted tripartite wig and facial features, shown mummiform with the arms crossed over the chest. The hands are modelled in relief, with painted agricultural tools. A single vertical column of hieroglyphs runs down the front. The back is painted with a basket beneath the wig. Size: 125mm x 40mm; Weight: 95g. Provenance: Private London collection; previously in a 1990s UK Ancient art collection.
