AD 1200 - 1300 A one-handed iron sword with a broad, straight double-edged blade tapering evenly to a point, the hilt composed of a straight cross-guard of flat rectangular section and a tapering tang surmounted by a large discoid pommel. Size: 970mm x 170mm; Weight: 1.1kg. Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired in Austria in the early 2000s; formerly in 1990s Austrian collection of Peter Ing Till.
