APULIAN RED-FIGURE OINOCHOE WITH FEMALE FIGURES BY CIRCLE OF THE PRISONER PAINTER - Ca. 400 - 300 BCA red-figure terracotta oinochoe with trefoil mouth, a tall neck decorated with vertical stripes, an inverted pear-shaped body tapering to a low foot, and a single strap handle rising from the shoulder to the rim. The main panel is decorated with two draped female figures arranged to either side of a central seated woman, one holding a rectangular casket and the other raising an object in her right hand. Wave bands frame the scene above and below.
