CAMPANIAN RED-FIGURE KRATER WITH SATYR - Ca. 350 - 300 BCA red-figure terracotta bell krater with a flaring rim and deep body set on a tall, tapering stem above a moulded foot, with a pair of small horizontal handles in the upper zone. Side A depicts a nude satyr shown in motion, in three-quarter view, with the left arm raised. Side B shows a youth wrapped in a himation, standing in profile to the left. Both panels are framed by large vegetal scrolls and palmettes rising at the sides, with a wave band above and a groundline below.Size: 230mm x 230mm; Weight: 1.25kg.Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgium art market; originally in the collection of D Bogaerts, Brussels 1990?s.This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
