LARGE PHOENICIAN HIGH KARAT GOLD PENDANT OF ISIS WITH INSCRIPTION - Ca. 600 - 400 BC. A gold pendant of Isis standing on a rectangular base with the left leg advanced, the body in a close-fitting dress and the arms held at the sides. The head is framed by a tripartite wig in long, ridged lappets. The reverse has an incised inscription and a circular suspension loop projecting from the upper back. Size: 68mm x 26mm; Weight: 58g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired in Brussels, Belgium; initially from a Swiss private collection (1901?1981).
