ROMAN (or later) CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF AN EROTIC SCENE WITH AN ITHYPHALLIC SATYR IN HIGH KARAT GOLD - Ca. AD 1 - 300 (or later). A carnelian intaglio engraved with an erotic scene, showing an ithyphallic satyr standing behind a horse, the satyr?s raised arm holding the horse?s tail, all on a groundline. Set in a possibly later gold ring with a wide, tapering hoop and incised shoulders.
