LARGE EGYPTIAN TERRACOTTA ASKOS - Amarna Period, Ca. 1353 - 1335 BC. A large terracotta askos with an elongated tubular body, slightly tapering towards one end and finished with flat circular terminals. A wide cylindrical spout rises from the upper surface, with two strap handles springing from the shoulders to the rim on either side. Size: 590mm x 250mm; Weight: 7.54kg Provenance: From an old British collection formed in the 1990s; previously acquired in Holland. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
