EGYPTIAN PREDYNASTIC IVORY FEMALE FIGURINE - Predynastic, Naqada I Period, Ca. 4000 - 3100 BC. An ivory nude female figurine carved with a long, slender body and a pinched waist, the arms held across the abdomen and the legs fused into a tapering lower point for insertion. The torso is modelled with pendulous breasts and a drilled navel above a pubic triangle. The head has an oval face with lightly cut features, beneath incised hair falling in long sections to the shoulders, and the feet are schematically rendered at the lower edge.
