CAMEROON DOWAYO / NAMJI DOLL - Ca. 20th century AD. >A standing figure with a small head and short arms, the doll is richly adorned with numerous strands of multicoloured beads wrapped around the neck, torso, and waist. Additional ornaments include shells, fibre elements, and small metal pendants suspended across the body. The legs are set apart in a stable stance, while the wooden figure is largely covered by the dense decorative adornment.
