AFRICAN NGBANDI SPOON - Ca. late 19th - early 20th century AD. >A fine wooden spoon carved with a deep oval bowl and a slender handle rising to an architecturally structured finial, the spoon is distinguished by a series of suspended elements attached near the top. These include elongated pendants wrapped with tightly coiled metal wire, terminating in rounded carved forms that hang freely along the sides of the handle.
