EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB WITH THE NAME OF SENUSRET II SET IN A GOLD RING - New Kingdom, Ca. 1481 - 1425 BC. A steatite scarab with a carved head and plain back. The underside is engraved with the cartouche of Thutmose III flanked by hieroglyphs, all enclosed by a linear border. It is pierced longitudinally and mounted on a swivel bar within a possibly later gold ring with a rounded hoop and wire-bound terminals.
