AMLASH BRONZE VESSEL WITH SPOUT AND ANIMAL-SHAPED HANDLE - Ca. 1000 BC. A bronze vessel with a rounded body and broad cylindrical neck with a slightly everted rim. A long narrow spout projects from one side, with a pair of stylised birds at the junction with the rim. Opposite is a loop handle with a horned animal-head thumb rest. The shoulder is encircled by a narrow band of incised triangular ornament. Size: 220mm x 110mm; Weight: 370g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A.
