BACTRIAN CHLORITE PYXIS WITH SCORPIONS - Ca. 2000 BC. A chlorite pyxis with a cylindrical body and projecting moulded rims. The exterior is carved in relief with a continuous frieze of scorpions, with segmented bodies, pincers and curled tails detailed by incised lines.
